Wildflowers It is always wonderful to discover a field with an abundance of wildflowers, but close-up things can often be less than perfect, and deciding how to manage the spread of flowers is crucial. The aim is to fill the frame with as much abundance, as much profusion of colour, as you can.

Here an extreme wide-angle lens has included a bright splash of daisies before the scene recedes to the poppies. I would have liked a litter-picking long-arm to pick out the single intruding head of grass – it is hard to tread into a field like this without leaving obvious signs of your incursion.
